I am stopped lossed and my ETS was a month ago. I am currently undergoing MEB and still attached to my unit. If i transfer to warrior transistion Battalion and if my Meb finding is that i am Fit For Duty will they send me back to my old unit or will they let me ETS. Or if i transfer over there and than tell the MEB people that i dont want to be med boarded will they let me ETS???? pretty much i just want to get out and soon... how can this happen?? thanks

  1. If you are stop-lossed it is because your unit will be going down range.  Stop-loss doesn't just stop you from ETS it stops you from leaving your current unit.

If your med board finds that you are Fit For Duty you will be stay with your unit until the stop-loss is completed.  Which either means until the orders to deploy are rescinded or the deployment is finished.

Finally, don't fret terribly about the stop-loss it may prove to be a financially viable option.  Take a look at the Army Times and the new incentive / additional pays for being stop lossed.

  2. Yup if your stop lossed, your stuck where you are.

I was stop lossed for 2 years while on a deployment. It really sucked!
