  1. Yes that's correct.

We are in the middle of Autumn (Fall) right now and Winter starts on the first of June.

Where I am, we've had one or two chilly nights, but beautiful warm sunny days approx 24 °C which is equal to 75.2 °F.

  2. It's autumn at the moment but is feeling like winter. Winter officially begins on June 1st.

  3. Yes!

When everything north of the equator(eg USA)are having summer the countries south of the equator(eg Australia) are having winter.

    And vice versa!

  4. Christmas time is usually when people from the northern hemisphere really notice the difference. Down here, Christmas falls at the height of summer. All over Australia, it's usually really hot - often over 100F and many people spend it at the beach or in the pool.

  5. Yes. It is nearly winter here now, and you guys are just about to enter into Summer vacation aren't you?

Also, our school year goes from Jan - Dec, and we get our summer off over christmas, as opposed to the middle of the year.

    It's interesting isnt it.

  6. Yes it is

  7. Yes it is winter here right now.

Southern Hemisphere seasons are the direct opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere.  Our schools have their summer vacation at around Christmas-time instead of the middle of the year as the north does.    When you have Spring we have Autumn (Fall).
