I have a question about C , I'm a beginner and I'm studying a great tutorial (learn c in 21 days 2nd edition), but I think the tutorial is kind of old. But I was wondering if C has changed in recent years, I didn't want to study a old tutorial. Thanks.

  1. C has been around "forever", so that edition looks to be from the 90s. C really hasn't changed that much, so you could use that book fine and then look up any new changes since then on the web.  For the most part, the majority of the code should work fine.

  2. The most important aspects to learn about C have not changed since its inception.  The examples in the book might be old, but they are probably still relevant today with regards to C and its applications.

  3. a little bit. it depens on how old is the tut.

C99 should be the last "active" spec, but read wikipedia about all the story

anyway the changes are not so hard to be learned once you've got the basic; so your time won't be wasted by learning by an old tute... i learned C on the original book by K&R, i just updated myself in recent years...
