  1. give him a bath.

  2. Wash the cat will slightly warm water and use dishsoap on the oil spot.

  3. a bathy-kin! =D

  4. I would use diluted dish soap and wash only the area that is soiled; make sure NONE gets in the eyes.  Then re-wash with baby shampoo.  AND ofcourse, keep your cat inside.  They tend to live longer lives that way.

  5. Bath!

    Dawn soap, rinsing really good.

Make sure kitty dont l**k for a while with the oil on.

  6. bath  would be  the  best way to clean him and right away  be for he get sick

  7. i suggest you you hurry and take the cat to a pet salon and have them wash it or take it to the vet make sure the cat isn't try l*****g the oil out of it's fur

  8. You didn't say how much and where. That makes a big difference in giving you the best answer. However, I will answer as if the area can be reached by the cat's l*****g and therefore almost any solvent places a risk to the cat. Remove the hair to which the oil is stuck...scissors. That poses the least risk to the cat and in very little time her fur will grow back.

To restrain your cat as you clip away the oily hair, wrap her in a towel such that she can see but not claw...and talk soothingly to her as you work.

    Good luck

  9. Home Depot (other places probably do, also) has a product called Simple Green. It comes in gallon bottles and is what is used during clean-ups of wildlife at oil spill sites. There are instructions for diluting on the container but they also have a toll free number where they can advise how to use for your situation

Or, i dont know how accurate this is but i got this info from another answers site, i would rather you call your vet and ask her about the stuff at home depot.......

Vegetable oil of almost any type will dissolve the oil in his fur. Once you've rubbed it in to make a sticky mess you can then wash him with a mild cat shampoo to get rid of the oil in the fur. Mixing it with the vegetable oil actually makes it easier to get out than plain shampooing him would.

Some people like to use plain Dawn dish detergent for the shampoo and then rinse the cat really well. Some may also suggest Murphy's Oil soap and again plenty of rinsing.

If a bath is totally out of the question rubbing in the vegetable oil then toweling off as much as you can and repeating until the motor oil is gone might work.

    Hope this helps you!
