Question about Chesapeake energy?

I live in Texas and I recently found out Chesapeake energy might be interested in drilling in my county. Do I have to have a certain kind of mineral on my land? What do I do to go about finding this out if so?

  1. Chesapeake, stock symbol CHK, is the largest independent driller for natural gas in the U.S.

  2. No, normally land is sold without the mineral rights. Just wait until an offer is made, then investigate since it may cost money to find out for sure.
