Question about Discover Open Road Credit Card?

I'm thinking of applying for the credit card, but I'm unsure of it's terms. Do I have to spend $100 monthly to get the 5% back and is the cash back rewarded monthly?

I use it now it is great watching my reward grow I only use it to buy gas and I pay it off in full each month there for no finance charge. It is 5% for the first 100 you spend on gas or auto service and 1% everything over 100 each month the rewards grows every month you use it and you can redeem in increments of $20 or trade cash for gift cards with a higher value yet
