Question about Dish Satellite?

I have a recording device I paid for with the dish satellite. My question is that it's easy to fill up the available space, in particular with HD shows. Can I purchase some extra storage unit, to store more recordings? There is a "USB Storage" hookup, but manual only says for viewing pictures.

Not that I'm aware of.  It's intended to be there so you can use it to watch something once, not to store the copies forever.

You could, although you run the risk of breaking copyright laws, purchase a DVD recorder and hook it up to your satellite receiver, so you can record from your DVR to DVD.
