  1. You just rub it into your hair and it absorbs all the oils. You should be able to buy them at your local drugstore, say Walgreens or CVS, or even the gift shop at the hospitals in your area. Alot of terminally ill patients use them as they can't get out of bed to wash their hair

  2. They absorb the oil in your scalp. I had a can a while ago that I bought from Sephora I think the brand was Oscar Blandi. It works great.

I have really long hair and sometimes it is a pain to wash it every day and my hair will look and feel good everywhere except the top. You just spray a little on the top and let it sit for a minute and then shake it and run your fingers through your hair.

They also make them in colors like dark for brown hair. But the one I had was white and I have dark hair and as long as you shake it and run your fingers through it, it doesn't leave any residue.

I think it was about $20 for a 3or 4 ounce can. If you use it occasionally it will last awhile.

  3. You can get something at the grocery store that costs 1/4 - 1/3 of the price of dry shampoo, and it works just as well, if not better...

A big can of plain, old fashioned or quick cooking oats. Not the flavored kind or the little packets, the cardboard can of just plain old oatmeal.

The raw oatmeal will absorb the oils in your hair and leave it looking fresh and clean, leaving no residue or discoloration like a product may. Here's how I've used it before...

Stand in your bathtub, on a towel. Be careful not to slip.

Take a handful of the raw oats and gently rub them on your head. They will fall all around you and what not, but that is the point of the towel!

Flip hair over and do the bottom/underside, too.

Brush hair to get any "crumbs" out

Shake the oatmeal out into the trash or your yard.

    That's it! I hope I saved you $20!
