When a program says you have a 1.7 ghz dual core processor, does that mean you have 2 cores that equal 1.7 or 2 processors that are 1.7 each?

  1. it means you have two (or more) processors running at 1.7 ghz each so if you had two processors, than it would equal to 3.4 and if you had quad it would be 6.8 ghz all together.
