  1. Would have to be both.  In order to be customer-oriented and deliver the best product, the would have to be product-oriented.

  2. Actually, my father owns a dunkin donuts, it is an independent franchise, and individually owned. It is customer-oriented because we have to make money off it by being courteous, we are not reimbursed by dunkin donuts but have to pay them a large sum of cash to keep the name dunkin donuts.

  3. Good products make happy customers, unless the service sucks too much!  DD has the best donuts!  Way better than Krispy Kremes.  Wish we had DD here in NorCal!

  4. I would say product oriented given their lack of customer service skill at almost all the chains I have been to!

  5. Product oriented because its owned by the same company that owns Baskin Robbins and Togo's, they also own Bailys irish cream and Kahlua.  They are more interested in money than anything else.

  6. a little bitof this , a little bit of that

  7. I dont eat there cuz Im vegetarian!

  8. Well, I do go there and I think they have pretty good customer service, but, to answer your question, I think they are more product-oriented. No, they don't have a HUGE line of products, but they concentrate on promoting what they do have. As a franchise, they must follow the 'rules' of the franchise and cannot vary even an iota, so creativity is out. Like I say, their customer service is OK, but not so great as, say, the local italian bakery near me. So, I go with products.

  9. yes.

if you think about it... if you have good products, you have happy customers.  i love dunkin donuts stuff!

  10. what

  11. Both

  12. product oriented

    =]

  13. Dunkin' Donuts is a strong public company(with stock holders and such).  They have become so because of thier orientation towards serving customers a variety of products.

Some of the products flop but others are well received...and the staple of the company is thier great coffee and doughnuts.

Considering the competition(Starbucks, Tim Horton, etc.), Dunkin' Donuts provides great service in the stores even though the lines can be horrendous at peak hours(a sign that they are indeed customer oriented and popular!).

Also regarding the competition, Dunkin' Donuts as a company continues to work hard to increase thier market share, meaning, products comparable to the competitors(ie. product oriented).

So, Dunkin' Donuts is BOTH product and customer oriented BUT at different levels of the company(individual stores vs. the corporate big wigs).

    Hope that helps!
