Question:

Question about EBAY?????????

I sold a used, 3 year old Chi flat iron (for hair) to a girl on ebay. I stated that it was clean, worked and looked good, was 3 years old and USED. She is now claiming that it doesn’t heat up to the proper temp (there is no temp guage on the device). It worked fine when I sent it and I sold it to upgrade to a larger model. She hasn’t asked for a refund, but claims it doesn’t work. She informed me of this 2 months after receiving it. What should I do in this situation when I was completely truthful in the item description? Thanks!!

  1. If it worked when you sent it and it worked for two months after she got it, then just ignore her, she knew she was getting a used item when she bought it. Such things are sold "As Is".

  2. You don't need to do anything, as long as there is no claim against you on Ebay.

If this girl does initiate any kinda redressal, you can state what you have stated above, to prove that you had not misrepresented anything about the iron, thus showing that claims are baseless.
