Question about Gift Cards?

I recieved 2 gift cards to a Book store and I don't read that much, but anyways my question is....Can I take the money out of the Gift Cards?

different stores have different policies, but i highly doubt it. call and check though.

No, not usually, you may be able to sell them online or buy something at the store other than books, most bookstores sell other stuff too. Or you can use it to buy gifts for people.

No, stores do not offer refunds for gift cards.  There are a few options you have

sell them on ebay (you'll only lose about 10% of their worth)

sell them to a friend

regift it

alot of book stores sell dvds and cds now, go check it out.

no, not from a gift card. gift certificates issue cash back for your change after a purchase.

but for cards, you make a purchase and the remaining amount stays on the card.

*sometimes* if you return an item you'll get cash back. and other times they issue you another gift card. it depends on the particular store policies.

most store won't give you money back for any gilft card, what you can do is buy something and then return it, they might give you back the money...

or buy something cheap and ask them  to give the remaining in change...
