Do you need a floppy to save stuff on Google doc?

Because it's basically the same thing as Microsoft Office and everything you save there has to go on a disk. If you don't need a floppy to save online applications where exactly do they get saved?

This might be a dumb question but I don't know where any of the stuff on the Internet gets saved

Like any other stuff , on the Google servers. Nobody uses floppies anymore.
