Can I connect a HDTV that DOES NOT support HDMI 1.3 with a HDMI 1.3 cable ?

What are the disadvantages of doing this ?

I would like to connect gaming console to the HDTV.

  1. Yes....the HDMI 1.3 cable will work on all of the TV's that take HDMI.  There is no issues doing this...


  2. The HDMI 1.3 cable will work great on any HDMI device.  They are backwards compatible.
