Question about HDMI cables....?

I am buying the playsyation 3 console, and i was wondering what kind do i need, or if there are specific models to buy just for the ps3...Also are all hdmi cables the same??!! Thanx soo much!

HDMI cables are made out of several different materials and range vastley in price, however it is carrying a digital signal, therefore it's either going to work or not work.

Tests have been carried out on the cheapest cable v's the most expensive and there is no difference in quality.

The PS3 has a standard HDMI output, so it works fine with a standard HDMI cable. You don't need a PS3-specific cable.

I was expecting stupid, hyped answers and was surprised to see correct ones.  Major stores are charging as much as $140 for a 6-ft HDMI cable, while you can find them elsewhere for $6.95.  Performance is no different between them.  Stores charge higher prices because a lot of people believe the hype.  Pay $6.95 if you want, even up to $30 for a 6-ft, but don't pay any more than that.  You're better off just giving cash out of your wallet as a gift directly to the salesman since you can choose the amount.

Consoles, I couldn't tell you about.
