Question about HDTV "components"?

I just got an HDMI cord for my cable on my LCD HDTV. I no longer need the standard "components" called component2 and Cable*4. How do I get rid of them?

  1. You do not remove them....jsut do not plug the cables in and switch to your HDMI inputs


  2. ...just not use them? your HDMI gives u high deff video and audio.. so u wouldnt need the component imputs
