Question about h**l...?

So, even otherwise Bible reading, Christ loving Christians can't agree on whether h**l or "the second death" means unending torture or total annihilation, and both sides can use scripture to support their opinion/guess. So, do Christians who preach eternal torture believe Christians who don't will be tortured for it, and do Christians who preach annihilation believe eternal torture believers will be annihilated?

  1. I'm sort of stunned because I agree with Chris. Jesus' said that h**l is the place where:

Mark 9:47 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into h**l, 48 ‘where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.

Does that sound like eternal nothingness to you? And the story of Lazarus and the rich man, where Lazarus is in Heaven and the rich man, in h**l, is begging for a drop of water? The rich man seems perfectly conscious to me.

Luke 16: The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’

Going to h**l has nothing to do with whether or not you believe in it. It only has to do with whether or not your faith is in Christ.

  2. Jesus said that h**l is eternal torment.  So go with Jesus and refuse the contrary words of man.

  3. A real christian doesn't really get caught up in all that.  Nobody knows what will happen.  I'm sure neither will.  God loves us like we are his children, I know I would never let my children go through any amount of suffering.  The main thing to focus on is doing right by yourself and the rest of the world.  If you beleive and practice living like Jesus did you have nothing to worry about.  Hope that helps!

  4. They can't agree because the concept of h**l is absurd nonsense believed only by the delusional.

  5. Jesus said h**l is  a REAL place or REAL torment

    I believe him.
