Question:

Question about High School Football Recruiting

I am going into my sophomore year in high school. I want to know how do college football scouts and coaches put the amount of "stars" you are. (1-5 star recruit.) I want to know how many yards touchdowns tackles etc. do you need to be "starred". Also I want to know how to get noticed by coaches. My division isn't a good one since I go to a small school with 1000 students. But we are good enough to beat the average teams in the better divisions with 2000 students. Because of this scouts and college coaches don't really know about our school. I will going to the Al Golden Temple University Football Camp in 2009, but I want to know about any other camps particularly in New Jersey that are good to attend.

I am a WR, CB/FS on Varsity and JV QB, FS

  1. I'm not exactly sure how people are rated on the star system...i would assume that it varies by coach, but stats against the level of competition and by comparison to similar postitions would be it i would guess

However, the way to get noticed is probably to just get out there and go to camps usually put on by a bigger school.  they also have combines for high schoolers which i would highly recommend attending

  2. lol sorry but ur like a 0 star.40 time is to slow for a corner/wide reciever

u might b able to play at like grand valley state =)

  3. i would go to a prep school or catholic school if you wanna get noticed.

  4. If you are really good you don't have to worry about stats you will be recognized.

Work on the things that you are average at and if you are a college caliber player you will be noticed
