Question about Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 (KAV) protections and free WiFi? Other software suggestions?

I have the latest KAV 7.0. Obviously it's an excellent anti-virus program. But does it provide (1) Protection from Malware...(2) Anti-Spyware Protection... or (3) Firewall protection? If any of these three functions aren't part of the package, can you suggest other software that would provide them effectively (preferably not replace KAV but just supplement it)? My goal is that I'd like have all conceivable defenses in my laptop so I can use the Free WiFi at hotels, coffee shops, and libraries without any worry about data/identification security.

1. Yes, it provides full protection from all known types of malware, it wouldn't be a very good AV if it didn't.

2. Yes, anti-spyware is considered part of the general category known as malware, so see the above.

3. No, KAV is just anti-virus, if you want a firewall I suggest that when you renew you get Kaspersky Internet Security(KIS). For firewall I would suggest Comodo, this is compatible with KAV7, but if you upgrade to version 8(which I suggest), then you need to disable HIPS, as KAV 8 has HIPS and it would cause interference.
