  1. Locomotion means to move about, so the question is more simply put "Name two methods of moving about used by organisms in the kingdom Protista".

Two types of locomotion (or moving about methods) used by this group of organisms are flagella and cilia.

    1.  Flagella

examples of Protista using flagella to move about  are a.)  Green algae (Chlorophyta) - Members of this group range from small single cells to much larger colonies. Green algae are diverse and have an array of forms. Some types some have flagella for locomotion, but others are sessile (don't move about at all)  and grow on other objects and even other organisms.

b.) GOLDEN ALGAE (Chrysophyta)-  Members of this group often occur as tiny single cells, with yellow-green or golden-brown pigments. They have two whip-like flagella for locomotion and a third appendage called a haptonema used for attachment.

    2. A second type of moving about (locomotion) is cilia.

An example of an organism in the Kingdom Protista using cilia for locomotion are:

    a.) CILIATED PROTOZOANS (Ciliophora) -

These single-celled or colonial animals have tiny hair-like structures called cilia that are used for locomotion and to obtain food.

I hope this helps you in your class.
