I have one week left until school starts and I have to read kite runner. Could I just watch the movie, are they the same? I probably would be required to know everything that happens and probably have to do a project on it, suggestions?

  1. definitely definitely read the book!

It is actually really really good. The movie doesn't capture certain emotions, themes, symbols, etc. You get more of the experience from the book.

  2. omg.. i have to read this same effing bk.. i was just about to ask the same question. i have about 100 pgs to go but i start school wed n i do not feel like reading 100 pgs tonite..

  3. This is my favorite book of the year. You will be glad you read it. It is fantastic!

  4. Movies end up totally distorting books. If I were you, I would read at least part of it. The book is amazing, and I absolutely loved it. so read as much as you can, and you can watch the movie to help you, but a movie is never a substitute for the book.

  5. The movie is pretty much the same, but of course there are details left out. It would be better if you read the book.

  6. The movie is never a substitute for the book. It really is worth reading. Just don't think about the fact that you're reading it for class and it's a lot easier to read.
