I keep getting lockjaw (i think) in a closed position, where i can only open my mouth half as wide as usual. It's only just the right side of my jaw that stops me from being able to open it. my mouth has been stuck like this for nearly two days now. What can i do?

  1. lock jaw comes from an infection or your jaw joints breaking down i know because my mom had it before she had jaw surgery and her face swelled up and she couldn't open her mouth very wide, you need to see a doctor because you can die from lockjaw if it goes on for months, some things that can cause it are trama to your jaw which causes it to break down, tmj, infection in your teeth that spreeds to your jaw and if you have lock jaw you will be in alot of pain, i think you should see a doctor asap, good luck

  2. It could be possible that your jaw temporarily subluxated. I would highly recommend to see your dentist to have it "snapped" back to place to prevent further damage to your TMJ (temporomandibular joint).
