Question:

Question about London Congestion Charge?

by  |  earlier

I'm sure I heard a few months ago that from October onwards, cars with emissions below a certain level will be exempt from the Congestion Charge.

Is this definitely happening? If so, does anyone know when, and also what the emissions threshold is in order to be exempt?

  1. who voted for Boris ?!

  2. Boris 'I don't know what I'm doing' Johnson scrapped that plan.

  3. It was before Boris the Buffoon came to power.  He thinks no one should use a bus or a car.  We should all be cycling around (yes even those with babies, five kids, no legs and in wheelchairs).

  4. boris has changed his mind.

there will be a vat reduction on dinning tables with a built in whim wham net.

  5. It was going to happen but Boris has scrapped the idea!

There are a few that are exempt anyway though like electric, hybrid, alternative fuel and LPG converted cars. Here's a website which explains in more detail:

    Hope that helps!

  6. The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has ended proposals for introducing a CO2 Charge from October 2008

This means there will be no increase in charge for drivers of vehicles emitting 226 g/km and above of CO2

The 100 per cent discount for vehicles emitting up to 120g/km of CO2 (Band A and B vehicles) has also been removed.
