Question about Mole Sauce?

Does anyone know how to make a mole (mo-lay) poblano out of the dry cubes of mole you buy from the market? All we can find is how to make it from scratch. Thanks so much!!

  1. The cubes should be dissolved in either broth or water, the amount depends on how much mole you are planning to make and also the size of the cube (they are roughly the size of a sugar cube). Usually, it's 1 cube for every 2 cups of mole sauce. It may take a little trial & error, didnt the package have any directions? Try 1 cube first, then add 1/2 a cube if you wish. If you prefer a stronger taste, add the other half and check. The premade mole sauces are easier to work with than the cubes and better tasting also.

    The consistency of mole poblano should be fairly thick, but it should also be a smooth sauce.
