Question about Montreal, Quebec???

Im staying in Montreal, Quebec for a few days and I have a question...

Do they ever ask for ID if you're ordering a drink at a restaurant or pub???

My sister is 19 but looks pretty young and she ordered an apple martini at a restaurant yesterday and they didn't ask for her ID. Im a 16 year old guy, do you think they would serve me alcohol at a restaurant?? or do you think they will ask for ID??

They will ask normally but you might get away with it in a restaurant. It all depends of the restaurant. Have fun and say ALLO to Montreal for me.

I remember when I was a kid and wondered the same kind of thing.  I don't know why you're in such a hurry to consume alcohol.  If the US would lower their drinking age limit to 18 like the rest of the world, there probably wouldn't be as many alcohol poisoning incidents in American colleges.  But I digress.

Order your drink.  You'll likely be served.

It depends on where you go. If you're at a restaurant they probably won't ask you. Even at a pub they may not, they really aren't that strict around here. But often at bars/pubs there will be a security guy at the front asking for ID before you go inside. I'd say, if you're inside the place already then you'll probably get served.

Why try?  It's illegal don't try it.  and they don't always ask but they do most of the time don't try.
