  1. No Mustang gets 30mpg.

They only come with V6 and V8 engines.

The best you can get highway is 28mpg.

You can get a 2006 Mustang or older for $10,000 or less since the resale value for this car is very low because they break down easily.

  2. You would have to go back to one of the 4 cylinder motor ones, 1974 to 1989. Then I am not sure that you would be happy with the looks.

  3. late 90's early 00's probably  a v6 if you want 30, the v8 might get ya 20. Or you could go with a late 60's with a straight 6, those are cheaper than v8's. You can get the latest version for about in a v6 for12-14k.

    Good luck

  4. depends a lot on how you drive.  my 96 six cyl got around 25mpg on a trip and back.  if you get a four cyl from the earlier years, they will get better mpg.  and if you do the maintenance the mustang will not break down any more than other brands.

i have owned over ten mustangs, starting with the 66 model.

  5. If you want a cool mustang that gets 24 miles per gallon look at the foxbody notchback 5.0.

other wise you might want to look at the 99-04 v6 models...not sure on the mileage of those.

go to edmunds.com for more info.

    Good luck!

  6. I have a 2000 mustang 6cyl 5speed. Its pretty fun to drive and gets about 25mpg. However, it will still get up and go when you want it to. I'm actually considering selling it and I'm gonna ask $7,000 so I'm sure you wont have any trouble finding one under 10,000. Good luck!
