Question about Nascar Scanners?

Question

I am headed to Daytona in two weeks. My question is this. I have several police scanners from my Grandpa. They don't have any channels saved into them. Will they work at Daytona or are they on a different frequency than the Nascar Channels?

i don't think so.......... try renting the RC scanners that is what i use and they are great....... not expensive at all.........   i think at daytona it cost me 30 dollars but i am not sure because i own my own pair now............ the RC scanners are what the drivers and crew wear.............!

i dont think they will work. have fun at the night race. been to it a couple times. not this year!

no they wont if this is you first nascar race you picked a great one the pepsi 400 at night is a great race i live in clearwater fl. which is straight across the state from daytona and me and my wife go to 2 races a year and this is always one we have been going for 20 something years before they moved it to night they use to start it at10;00 in the morning and now the night race is great we were there a few years ago and it rained they didn't start it till tan and finished it at two in the morning it was fantastic the other race we go to is one we pick at the beginning of the year this year were going to talledaga i have been there once before and cant wait sorry i took so much of your time but you will love it have fun
