Question about Navy benefits for my step son...

I'm married and I have a step son. He lives with us and his mother and I provide for him. His father pays nothing. I'm going into the Navy in October and want to know if my step son will be covered by the benefits? Thanks!!

  1. Yes!!! Prove he is a member of your family.


  2. Yes. Same as any dependent.

  3. if he lives with you then your step son gets the same benefits as he would if he was your biological child (even if your wife gets child support).  But he and your wife lose them if you ever get divorced but all biological child get to keep them.

  5. yes as long as you enroll him just as you will your wife in deers...he will have medical etc..if you get stationed overseas he will get his passport just as his mother if they are allowed to go with you...to the military he is your child ..step doesnt enter the picture
