Question about Osbourne Spectacle of Lights in Disney World (Hollywood Studios)?

I've been reading about it and it seems like now you have to line up to walk through the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights. Is this correct? I saw it in 2005 in Jan. and we just walked through like normal, the only thing different was that there were lights on!

I was there in early December of 2007 and didn't have to line up to see it, though I didn't go right when the lights came on or on a busy day.  The street was fairly crowded, but it was still possible to move around pretty easily.  There were a couple lines for the Disney photographers, but those were avoidable.

its the same thing but since there is a build up of people right before the turn on the lights and you usually have to follow the flow of people walking. but its not like a line for a ride. it takes place on wide streets. just be careful because everyone is looking at the lights and not where they are going.
