Question about Ovidrel: How much is too much?

I got a shot of Ovidrel 250 mgc on Thursday in the hopes I would go back to my doctor today (Saturday) saying I could start my post ovulation routine, but found out after the ultra sound, I didn't ovulate yet so...she gave me a second shot of Ovidrel 250 mgc. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal to give 2 shots within a couple of days of each other? Thanks in advance!

Hello:)..yes,it is very common to have 2 ovidrel shots within a few days of each other.sometimes,250 mcg isn't enough to make a woman ovulate,a lot of it depends on your weight and the maturity of the follicles.did you dr do bloodwork to confirm that follicles were mature (estrogen should be between 150-200 per mature follicle)I took ovidrel in may and ovulated 36 hours later,confirmed by bloodwork 7 days past ovulation.good luck:)!!!hope this helps!
