THIS QUESTION IS FOR *"INDIAN"* SCENARIO ONLY

We all know that in an organization, after the process of performance appraisal is over then on the basis of employee's rating in appraisal, he/she is given a hike.

I wish to know about Appraisal consequent Hike/Payout,, on what basis do you give hike in salary or incentive after getting the rating of employee from appraisal??

    One of the most misunderstood areas of performance appraisal is its relationship to salary administration.

    Normally the salary increases are linked to performance evaluation results, there are other factors like comparable worth, marketplace factors, pay structures and policies adopted by public policymakers, governing bodies and, for some groups, and collective bargaining agreements which also play a major role !!
