Question:

Question about Photoshop?

I'm trying to make a wallpaper for my computer with Photoshop. It has one word written at the top, and I wanted to add some effects (such as glowing edges) to the text. I rasterized my text layer and opened up the glowing edges window. All it shows is the text (which is white) on that checkered background. Is there any way to change that to a different color (or better yet, the layer under the text) so I can see what it looks like?

  2. Which version of PhotoShop? I have not used CS3 yet, but I will assume it is not much different.

Under preferences you change the transparency to be solid rather than checkered and/or you can add a new layer will a fill color and drag in beneath the text layer through the layers palette.

  3. I think you should start over and when you do try that first:)

  4. In the same area where you add glowing edges and such, there is one of the areas that give a fill color. Choose that, pick your color, and you are good to go.
