Question about Plant DNA...?

I know that each Human has his own unique DNA profile. Is this the same for plant life as well? For example, if I brought a branch from an Oak tree, and DNA from every Oak tree on Earth were in a database, could we determine which tree the branch came from?

Maybe not quite that exact yet, but DNA is has been used to tell which oak trees contributed the pollen and which the ovules to oaks in some populations.  Can't remember the reference.
