Question:

Question about Post Offices?

by  |  earlier

I'm sending a package to a friend of mine for the first time. I know all post offices are not the same, but can you answering the following, maybe?:

1) Will I have to weigh the package at the post office?

2) Will I have to pay in cash, or stamps?

3) Will they have boxes for me I can just put the stuff in, close up the box, then send it?

4) Do I have to get my parent's permission [I'm a minor.]

Thanks.

  1. 1. Yes, you can weight the package at the post office.

    2. You will have to pay with cash.

    3. They will only give you boxes with proirity shipping, which is usually the expensive ones. Media mail for books and first class regular mail does not provide a box. So you have to find boxes around. Peanuts and packaging will not be provided.

    4. I don't believe you need a parents permission. As I am a minor and I do it all the time to sell my stuff off my blog.
