Why is Liberty Ave. called Liberty Ave.?

Is it sarcasm about how little Liberty the Police Chief gives them in season 4, or is it reminding us about the Liberty they have because they are out and proud. Or is it just the actual g*y strip in Pittsburgh, much like Christopher St. in NYC? I am g*y and have watched every episode.

  2. There really is a liberty avenue in pittsburgh.

It might be a g*y strip. I don't know I live in East Pennsylvania.

  4. Can we still say q***r?

  5. I think it was meant as a pun, since it is a g*y show, and that is what our struggle has been all about (equality, liberty) and how it must be like to have that liberty immortalized in a street name, and it just clicks on the g*y sensibility to name it Liberty Avenue - given the stuation with Chief Stockwell (who, might I say, looks incredibly hot to me). They did name it Liberty Avenue from the very first season, so I don't think they were being ironic vis a vis the Stockwell story arc.
