Does the SAT math level 2 subject test you a lot on the "limits". Because, I took my pre calculus class at a college in summer and not a one year course at school. And i was not taught about the limits, unfortunately. But, I have tried to learn it mysef using various sources online. And I know now how to calculate limits when x is approaching a finite number (we simply plug in the #, if it makes the denominator 0, then we factor and simplify it and then plug it in) , and when its infinity. (is that when we divide every term by the degree of the denominator?) ...ok so thats all i know...do i need more for SAT math 2????.....do i need the intermediates and L'hospital rules and stuff???

And if i need more, then kindly provide the topics so that i can study them online(if you have links, that would be awesome)....caz i dont have a precal book

much appreciated.

thanks a lot

  1. There might be a question or two on limits on the test, but I promise that there won't be a lot.  I wasn't taught about limits when I was in precalculus either, and I took precalc as a normal student in my high school (it's technically a calculus topic, so I learned about it in my AP Calc class the next year).  What you already know about limits is all you need to know for the test (you don't need to know L'Hopital's rule or anything like that).  Just plug in the #, and if it makes the denominator 0, factor and simplify, then plug in the #, just like you said.  That's all you need.

By the way, the curve on the test is pretty good, so you could probably afford to miss all of the limits questions and still get an 800 on the test.
