Question:

Question about Saturn aspects?

Saturn is conjunct my ascendant and is squared by both the moon and sun. People always guess me to be a Capricorn. I think I am more depressed than other people. I have the sun and moon in Pisces, which doesn't really contribute to being outgoing. I have a lot of anxiety problems. Can someone tell me the positive things about Saturn aspects?

  1. It would be a lot easier to answer questions like this, if we knew what sign Saturn was in.  Like all planets, Saturn has both positive and negative influence.  Saturn is usually difficult, but "difficult" is not the same as "bad."

On the negative side on or aspecting the Ascendant, Saturn can indicate depression, self destructive behavior such as undermining yourself, or just being plain mean.

On the positive side, Saturn can indicate self-discipline, loyalty, a structured outlook, orderliness etc.  The square to the Sun and Moon is significant, if it is tight, say within four degrees.  After that the influence is usually less, but again, the signs involved for all planets affect the delineation.  Sun and Moon in Pisces so is Saturn in Gemini or Sagittarius?  If the aspect is out-of-sign, I would ignore it.  Aspects qualify the influence of the planet aspected.  I can see how a Sun/Moon - Saturn square could result in depression, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Pisces can be very outgoing George Washington was a Pisces, so is Mass. Senator Ted Kennedy) and the Moon in Pisces is a very emotional Moon (I used to tell Moon in Pisces people that they are so emotional they cry watching commercials).  Anxiety is more Mercury so is your Saturn in Gemini?

The more information you feel comfortable giving, the better the responses will be.
