The strawberry is the only fruit with seeds on the outside and it is an aggregate-accessory fruit. In some species, seedlessness is the result of parthenocarpy, where fruits set without fertilization. Parthenocarpic fruit set may or may not require pollination. Most seedless citrus fruits require a pollination stimulus; bananas and pineapples do not. Seedlessness in table grapes results from the abortion of the embryonic plant that is produced by fertilization, a phenomenon known as stenospermocarpy which requires normal pollination and fertilization.

  2. I dont have a clue about the scientific name,But you have seedless, grapes [no seeds] and raspberries etc: that have the seeds on the outside. but you already know this dont you? WHOOPS!!  OH well 2,points for effort.

  3. Strawberries are an aggregate-accessory fruit.  A very complicated structure when dealing with general botany.  Note, however, that  the so-called "seeds" are in fact a fruit.  They are achenes, single seeded fruits where the seed coat is not attached to the ovary wall.

  4. God, I don't know, but isn't number 2 parthenocarpic
