Question about Silent hill 4, the room.?

I'm pretty new to playing video games and stuff, but I got into my brother's Silent Hill stuff. I can't find any way to get passed the part where I get that dark haired girl out of the subway train in the beginning, and the ghost things are coming out of the walls. How do I kill those, too?

It's been a long time since I've played Silent Hill 4, so I can't be much help in regards to getting out of the subway.

I can tell you, however, that the ghosts can't be killed (They're ghosts. They're already dead, technically). At that point in the game, the most you can do to them is knock them over for a short time.

The above link is one of the best walkthroughs to use for Silent Hill 4, hands down. Once you've opened it, hit ctrl+f and type in "1.04", minus the quotations. That will take you down to his section on the Subway level, when you're traveling through subway cars with Cynthia.

About ghosts, you can never kill them. Run from them. Later on, you will find amulets that will stop them from harming you -- however, these break. You will also find swords that will stop one ghost from ever appearing again, but it's best that you save these for certain ghosts later on (a certain black haired girl comes to mind...). You will also receive plenty of candles -- DO NOT use these anywhere outside of your apartment. Candles are used to rid yourself of problems in your apartment later on.

RUN AWAY, you will get Silver Bullet or Swords of Obedience later in this game. I like this game.
