Hi not sure what to put in question box! I am booking a flolight and hotel in Toronto separately. How far is it from the Lester B Pearson airport to downtown Toronto? And what is the best way of getting from airport to the hotel? Maybe the Canadians out there would be so kind as to help me! Thank you in advance.

  1. The airport is not too far from downtown, maybe a 10 - 15 minute drive.  A cab is your best bet (unless you've rented a car).  I really don't think the TTC (toronto transit) goes to the airport. but you can check the ttc website.  just google "ttc" toronto. and you should find out

  2. About 10 km west of downtown-CN tower area. Take an airport shuttle or cab

  3. Without any traffic, drive would be about 20 mins to downtown. Depends on which hotels you are staying at, you have the following options.

    1. Cabs

    by meter, it's about 4x.

you can always set a rate with the driver before hand (say 50 flat, just in case of bad traffic).

you can pay by cash or credit cards.

    2. Airport Coach Bus

This is going to downtown bus terminal, which is right next to Delta hotel. It has a few stops along the way, mostly famous hotel in downtown toronto.

Fare around 20 dollar, bus is available every half an hour or so.

    3. TTC (Toronto public transit)

There is a airport bus right in front of the terminal.

Take the bus to subway station(last stop).

then you can take the subway across. (need to change within subway once)

This takes about an hour, fare 2.75 CAD. (you only need to buy ticket once, no additional ticket needed for subway)

    Hope this helps!

  4. It takes approx 30 minutes driving from the airport to downtown Toronto, but this varies enormously depending on the time of day/traffic. Many hotels have an airport shuttle service so that would be the first thing to check. If not, a taxi is easy, although not cheap - I usually end up paying approx $50, depending again a lot on traffic. You can check out the fares here: http://www.gtaa.com/local/files/en/eastt...

The TTC does run to the airport, on a fairly regular service, however it is a long trip - it takes probably around an hour to get downtown. Take the 192 Airport Rocket bus which then connects to the end of the Bloor/Danforth subway line going East. From there you can come into the downtown and then connect to the Yonge subway line if necessary, or other buses and streetcars.

  5. A cab ride would be about $40-$60 depending upon where you are staying and what cab company you use.   There are several organized charters or even transit which service the airport if cost is an issue.

The best way is Cab, err Airport Taxi (regular cabs are not allowed to pick up fares at the airport, strange and stupid by law)

You can also check with your hotel to see if they offer a pick up service, many of the nicer hotels will offer a shuttle to and from the airport for thier guests.

        ---don't forget your boarding passport,.

                            have  fun    bye,..,

  7. I think a taxi is $55 or so to downtown. If money's no object, grab an "airport limo" -- they're not stretch, but a little cleaner and nicer and not much more pricey.

If money is an object, there are loads of shuttle busses and transit options. The best is the TTC (equivalent to "Underground) Red Rocket ... I think you pay about $2.75 and it takes you to a subway stop 15 km away, from which you can access downtown for no additional charge.

  8. You have three options for getting to downtown Toronto from the airport.

Cab: A cab will cost you about $45-50. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes, possibly longer if there is traffic.

Airport shuttle: The Airport Express shuttle runs frequent service between the airport and various hotels and points of interest downtown. The round trip fare is about $30 and you can book tickets online at a discount. Visit this website for more information: http://www.torontoairportexpress.com/

Public transit: The TTC, Toronto's public transit system, operates buses from the airport terminals to Kipling subway station on the Bloor-Danforth (green) line. Take the 192 Airport Rocket to Kipling, then catch the subway from there. I would need to know what hotel you're staying at to give you more detailed directions. Cash fare is $2.75, the ride will take a minimum of one hour.

  9. Lester B Pearson  airport is around the Brampton area more like 15-25 km from the down town core of Toronto. it would take 30-45 minutes if your not travelling in rush hour traffic, then it would take longer. the better way would be to take a taxi. u can take public transit as well but i haven't seen many buses like TTC ones that go right into the airport. if u don't know the transit system then i wouldn't suggest trying to figure that out, if u get lost it will only take u longer to figure out where your going. check if your hotel has a shuttle service that will take u to the airport.

i live about 20 minutes drive from Lester B Pearson.
