If we are not legally adults till age 18 why do we get so many privilages at 16?

Id like to note that even though it says "join the armed forces" we carn't go to war till 18.

  1. The law is daft to be truthful at 16 you can get marred and you are still a child.

At 17 you are still a juvenile and can be interviewed by the police without an adult present and at 18 you are an adult.

It should be simplified to a set age to save on the confusion.

You then have sexual offences which have loads of ages in them, it was simplified but you still need to check in a manual.

My head hurts just typing this!

  2. i don't really get this question, the fact is you can not get wed under 18 with out your parents say so, you can not join the army under 18 with out your parents say so.

yes at 16 in the UK you can have s*x but its a right not a privilege
