Why does the VZ 58 military sporter have 2 different finishes? I ordered this and realized after looking at pics online that there is also a blueish gray finish. I really don't like that and I'm hoping I don't get that one.

Here is what I mean

Black finish (one i hope i get..)

If you know, please answer! because not many people know, and this rifle is supposed to come in one finish only, there is no option of which finish u want.

  1. The gray finish is the original Czech military finish. If you purchase a demilled spare parts kit, it will have the gray finish. The rifles with the black finish may have been refinished by someone along the way. I also think that the angle of some of your pictures just make the gray finish look black. Personally, I like the gray finish and you will look cool at the range, lol.

  2. all of the newer ones I've seen have the dark blue/black finish.

  3. I'm going to take a good guess here...... That gray finish looks like spray paint. I cant imagine in a million years CZ would put a finish on a rifle like that.....   If you order one its a safe bet its the black one you want...... Judging by the photos the gray CZ VZ-58 rifle is privately owned and who ever owns it put the gray paint finish on it......
