I'm reading the abridged version of Les Miserables at the moment, and is it just me, or does the author have a tendency to ramble?

  1. Oh my gosh, YES. I wondered if anyone else noticed! Man, I really had to work through some sections of that book. Yes, Victor Hugo, I understand the nuns in the convent had yellow teeth and no toothbrushes, but what's happening with Jean Valjean?
