Quick question...IS XM radio programming as a general rule live or recorded?? For example, lets say I just did a quick check on their web site and I saw that Jazz with Marsalis is playing at 130 pm... and lets say that this is the time each day....I really want to listen to this, but I am working at that time....is there a way of listening to the show later...is it rebrodcast at different times etc....I just don't want to buy this and then find out I can't ever listen to anything good becuase its always on at the wrong time!!!

  1. Some programs are live only, others are live and then recorded for airing later.

  2. they replay a lot of stuff, channel 2 is a channel that does nothing but replay special programming. i'd check the website about replays. i also get an e-mail a couple times a week that notes what is on for the next couple days and i think, i think, that it mentions the other times.

however, xm is defiantly worth the subscription. i can't stand to listen to fm radio anymore. the commercials bug the c**p out of me. to be free from the suffering of car dealership and alcohol commericals is nothing short of awesome. besides, music in the morning is 134868973 times better than the idiots and chickens who have air time in the morning.

  3. Much of the programming is repeated several times - especially if it's a special program or interview. If it's a daily program, they might repeat certain parts of it during other hours.

If there is a specific program that you want  - and wouldn't subscribe if it wasn't available at a certain time, I'd call their tech support and ask before you spend your money. Theirs is the best in the biz.
