While driving my 2000 plymouth voyager, I noticed that my speedometer wasnt working and that the van wasnt shifting out of 1st gear. I called and was told that my speed control sensor went out. Can anyone tell me where it's located and how hard is it to change? thanks

  1. above the right side drive axle where it comes out of the trans.

  2. The failed part on your van is likely the turbine output speed sensor. the trans is on the lerf (drivers) side of the vehicle. the sensor is on the side of the trans that faces out the front of the vehicle. this is a plastic sensor with a 24mm hex. the sensor sells for about 32 dollars or so at the dealer.
