  1. its a good board for beginner to intermediate riders, burton has this to say about it....

We feel that you should be an expert snowboarder before you start venturing into the terrain park. What do you do if you want to start learning tricks before you have reached expert abilities? What board can you ride that will help you learn tricks? The answer is the Burton Lux. This all new board for 2007 combines a forgiving flex with a twin shape. The result is a board that can be ridden in both directions equally well while still turning quickly at lower speeds. I recommend the Burton Lux to women who think they want to explore the park but have not ridden enough to hone their skills. Buy the Burton Lux; master your turns; then, go hit a couple jumps. With the Lux you can have your cake and eat it too!

  2. have you at least tried it?

cuz burton boards are expensive... even for seasoned riders

make sure you like snowboarding before you drop the cash

  3. If you are a beginner, you want a soft and flexy board.  This will mean the board is more forgiving and easier to control then a stiffer board (more for advanced riders who need to feel solid at higher speeds).

You will want a female specific board, as mens boards are generally stiffer (not as forgiving, harder to control) and wider (harder to control).

You should be ok on any girl's entry level board.

You should also be fine on a Burton Lux.

    Good luck!
