Will someone, anyone... explain to me what the Think or if you Know what it means when you have a felony charge but the DA is offering what the lawyer said to be Probation with "silence" on jail time.... Is there a chance only probation time will be given. And does it make a difference if they see that you have changed your life/Have a family/The crime happened over a year ago? Help Please!!!

  1. When the D.A. says they are "silent", that means that they are neither recommending jail, or opposing it.  They are being neutral on the issue, thereby leaving it up to the Judge.  There is a chance you could get probation without jail time and certainly the fact that you have changed your life will go a long way.  Everything should turn out fine.
