I know its equivalent to a diploma, I'm about to start Junior year but what most people don't understand about school and by that I mean parents is that its a joke. School to them is all foundation of education when really its a serious misconception. I can't take the morning wake up and doing work that is complete nonsense.. Let me get to the point.. I will graduate with a high school diploma ( if I continue ) when I am 17, getting a GED here is 18 -, my birthday is in November.. In the case of college can I get in to most of them? What will they look for since I only have a GED? What can I do in my next 2 years that will improve chances into getting in better colleges? Tell me if its a good idea ( in my position ).

  1. With a GED, the only colleges that will accept you is Community College, or really bad 4-year colleges like Berkley college...An associates degree isn't that bad for people who got lazy in high School maybe because you weren't ready for it. the truth is if you can concentrate in community college and keep your grades up, you can get into an ivy league University right after. I know a lot of people who went to two year colleges and ended up in Columbia University. Community college will help you in the transition of high School and college. College gives you more freedom. For example, you don't like waking up early, so you can take later classes. A GED will start you off, go to a community college, and from there Mature into a real university!
