  1. You CAN if you have the INPUT jacks for it on the monitor....

But most monitors (computer monitors that is...) only have ONE PC-VGA and one DVI connection on it for the computer...

So the real question you have to ask is, "Is it worthwhile to get an electronic switchbox that will handle a <computer monitor>?"

And if it's NOT a computer monitor....Then you have a little more flexibility in your input connections, but once again you may have limited connections....

So you want it all on Hi Def Inputs? You may still need that AV switcher.

But the KEY to making HD connections is HDMI or Component Input jacks....those are HD, and PS3 has the HDMI connector, while the DVR has HDMI <and> Component connections on it for HD delivery.....

So, a DVI to HDMI adaptor is a good choice on certain monitors to recieve the HDMI signal, and an HDMI switchbox is universally ideal for switching... and KNOWING what connections you have to use is the best starting point.

I don't know what connections you have, but you do.....But try to HDMI everything with some nice light HDMI 1.3a cables, and you'll have the best picture from everything connected to your monitor....
