Question:

Question about a JD degree?

Hi there

I am a student from Hong Kong, and I have a question that would determine the path of my life.

I am interested in a JD degree, but I don't know what my bachelor degree should be.

The thing is, I am interested in theater too. You know, drama and stuff, but I know clear that couldn't make a living out of that, that's why I may major in Hospitality management in UNLV.

So here's the problem: is there any "better" bachelor degree that is more suitable for pursuing a JD degree? Like what people say: political science?

Or it doesn't matter, whatever major it is for your bachelor, you could still do good in JD if you are hard working.

Should I go for Hospitality Management for my bachelor or should I go for theater?

Anyone know any lawyers majored in theater for their bachelor....?

  1. Whatever you major in, make sure you also take courses that will help you develop your writing and analytical skills--e.g., writing classes, social sciences, philosophy.  Theater is actually a good choice because it will help you develop oral communication skills.
